Customer's reviews
I had 3 estimates for a small back door porch, railings, steps and a 12x12 patio. Bldg Character last estimate and hands down, the most professional and impressive! Met with Jennifer and explained we knew zero about the materials or design needed. She got right on it with suggestions and advice. With 30+ years under their belts, I couldn't have been more pleased with design and cost. 3 gentlemen did the job in 2 long days. They were constantly measuring and leveling every step of the way. Worked hard! The finished product is unbelievable! Jared came out to inspect later. Now that I see the photos on their web page, I feel my job wasn't worth their time and effort! But you'd never know. They did the work like it was a zillion dollar castle and I couldn't be happier. But now I want that castle work...😉 Thanks so much! Angie

We searched for over a year to find the right biulder to create our deck and porch. We found Jared and Jennifer with Building Character and they transformed our blank patio into a beautifully designed and built deck and screened porch! Their work on the design made the deck blend beautifully with our house. Their crew was great---they worked to assure our our every need was met even though the weather was very uncooperative. Their level of attention to detail was wonderful -- even the most picky home owner (my wife) was ecstastic!! We would definitely recommend Building Character to anyone looking to build a deck or porch for their home. Thank you Jared, Jennifer, Tim, Josh, Rob (birthday boy) and Justin---it took a team to complete our dream and that's just what you all are---an excellent TEAM!!!

We have a toddler so it was important to us that we expand the usable space in our backyard. They removed a hot tub, bushes, and moved our drainpipe for us to make room for the patio. Overall, we're very happy with Building Character and the work they did especially considering they worked (6/15 - 7/2) through some pretty extreme heat. One last thing I'd like to highlight is that our original estimate included a gate at the top of the deck. When reviewing the contract, we didn't realize it was missing and so it wasn't installed when the rest of the deck was constructed. I'm happy to say that we worked with Building Character and they honored their estimate; we got the gate installed yesterday!
